Not a fan of ticks. I'm still traumatized from the time I was eight and I had to remove one that was two inches away from MY MOM'S LADY BITS.

When I was a child (5/6ish?), I was playing w/ my siblings in the woods and I ended up getting bit by a tick. That tick ended up with me contracting Lyme Disease which led to 4 years of doctor's testing. Eventually they found out I obtained Rheumatoid Arthritis and low iron levels because of Lyme

i once had a tick lodge itself in my scalp, and my mother extracted it with tweezers. i now know that this was, like, the worst thing she could have done, but i still didn't end up with lyme disease. hope the same goes for you and the 'bits.

oh dear. in order to put your mind at rest, Lyme Disease is only really contracted after the tick has been in place for 24 hours or more. so, if you found it before that, you're more likely suffering from the dreaded and ugly-sounding swine flu. i'm just sayin'
